Pathology is rare.
"Pathology is rare." said Dr.K in this video. (Y'all should check out his content. He really knows his stuff. He really do.)
And that got me thinking. Say, I struggle with finding a sense of purposeness in life. I look around and see other people struggle with a sense of purposeness. A lot of people. It is not just me. Then in this case, the struggle should no longer be seen as a struggle because we talking about struggle as if it is supposed to be fixed. But how do you fix something when it has become the new norm? Pathology is rare. You never fix something normal.
Same with the epidemic of loneliness, pervasiveness of the quarter-life crisis, the anti-work/quiet quitting trend...We talk about these topics as if they are issues to be fixed. But how does one fix a natural and human response to this relentless but hopeful world? What is there to fix when everything is where it is?
There is no fixing in something natural. There is no fixing existence. There just is. Existence just is.
